Welcome to the Kentucky Soccer Referee Association website!  There are 55 State Referee Associations that support the U.S. Soccer Federation Referee Program at the local level. Our association is responsible for promoting and implementing U.S. Soccer's initiatives and programs in support of all affiliated members and competitions within the state of Kentucky.

06/23/15 Hall-Volpenheim, Rivas, and Sizemore chosen for 2015 USYSA Nationals
State Referee's BJ Hall-Volpenhim, Saul Rivas, and Evan Sizemore have been chosen to officiate the 2015 USYSA National Championships in Tulsa, OK this coming July. BJ, Saul, and Evan were part of a 15 referee, 2 Assessor, and 2 Mentor delegation from Kentucky to worked the Region II Championships in Fox Cities, WI. 11 of our 15 referees were chosen for semi-final assignments and 4 were chosen for finals. Please congratulate BJ, Saul, Evan and the entire delegation for representing Kentucky so well.
06/14/15 Cerra & Lawson Chosen for 2015 President's Cup Nationals
State Referee's Jason Cerra and Parker Lawson have been chosen to officiate the 2015 USYSA President's Cup Nationals in Kansas City this coming July. Jason and Parker were part of the 6 Referee, 1 Assessor, and 1 Mentor delegation from Kentucky that attended the Region II President's Cup in St. Louis June 10-14. Others in the delegation were Referees Brandon Colley, Matthew Meyers, Steven Whalen, and Justin Woodside. Mandy Love served as a Mentor and Tom Berger as an Assessor. Congratulations Jason & Parker!
06/06/15 KSRA Approves USSF Grade 6 Fitness Requirements
The KSRA State Committee approved the new USSF fitness standards for Grade 6 State Referees effective August 1, 2015. These standards are now in place for all Grade 6 State Referees for the 2016 cycle year. USSF announced the new standards in May this year. The standards can be found on the Downloads page of this website.
04/10/15 Offside Interpretation Language
This interpretation was provided by U.S. Soccer's Technical Director on April 10, 2015 in an effort to ensure the consistent application of the new offside language.
02/04/15 SRC Meeting 2/8/15
The Kentucky SRC will be meeting on February 8th at 2:00pm. The meeting will take place at the Barber Law Office in Louisville. If you wish to attend please contact the SRA at chad.sra@kyreferee.com.
01/13/15 Don Cooper named new State Director of Assessment
The SRC is happy to announce that Don Cooper has been named the new State Director of Assessment for the state of Kentucky. Don was selected from a number of highly qualified candidates. In addition to his high level experience as a National Referee and State Assessor, he also brings the experience of playing the game post-collegiately. Don's focus on the program will be to streamline the scheduling of assessments while also improving both the quality of the state's referees and assessors. Going forward, any assessment sought should be scheduled through Don. His contact information will be listed on our website as soon as possible. Please wish Don luck in this new challenge!
