Welcome to the Kentucky Soccer Referee Association website!  There are 55 State Referee Associations that support the U.S. Soccer Federation Referee Program at the local level. Our association is responsible for promoting and implementing U.S. Soccer's initiatives and programs in support of all affiliated members and competitions within the state of Kentucky.

09/01/14 2015 Online Recertification Courses POSTED
The 2015 Online Recertification Courses for USSF Grade 8 and 9 referees have been posted in the GameOfficials system (https://kyreferees.gameofficials.net).
03/29/14 KSRA Publishes New Referee Grade Requirements
Kentucky Soccer Referee Association published the new Grade Requirements effective 7/1/2014 for the 2015 Calendar Year. These new standards were published by U.S. Soccer and adopted by KSRA at their winter meeting. To review the Requirements, go to Upgrade tab on the left menu and select Referee Grade Requirements. The PDF is also on the Downloads Page.
10/01/13 KSRA Approves Fitness Standards for Grades 7, 6, and 5
The KSRA State Committee approved fitness standards for Grade 7, 6, and 5 Referees effective October 1, 2013. These standards are now in place for all Grade 7, 6, and 5 Referees that have not passed a fitness test for the 2014 cycle year. The standards can be found on the Downloads page of this website.
09/09/13 KYSA Commowealth Cup
The Commonwealth Cup is the Recreational State Cup for U10-U19 teams. The weekend will be played at Elizabethtown Sports Park in Elizabethtown November 2-3, 2013.Please note there may be some Friday night games that weekend depending on the number of entries in each age group. The deadline for referee applications for the event is October 15, 2013.
07/12/13 2014 Advanced Referee Recertification Course
- August 3, 2013 (9:00-5:00PM) - Waggener High School (Louisville, KY) - Guest Instructor: Richard Heron (National Instructor - Phoenix, AZ) - Must pre-register on GameOfficials and complete online coursework and exams (approx. 4 hrs.) - FIFA Interval Test instead of Cooper Test (12 minute run) this year - All hotels must be booked through Bob Gilchrist before July 31st in order to be paid by KSRA
07/02/13 Brooks chosen for Adult Nationals
Congratulations to National Referee Josh Brooks for being selected to officiate the USASA National Finals in San Antonio, TX from July 19-21. Josh was selected following the USASA Region II Finals held in Overland Park, KS June 28-30. At this same time, the USASA Women's National Championship was also held. In addition to Josh, several other Kentucky Referees were in attendance. They include: Jamie Dumstorf, Mandy Love, Chad Collins, Chris Morris, and Sara Renyer. Brian Darling was also in attendance as a National Assessor.
06/26/13 Barber chosen for Youth Nationals, Rivas is Alternate
Nineteen referees along with two assessors and one mentor were sent by KSRA to Des Moines, IA for the Youth Region II Tournament, part of USYSA's National Championship Series (see full article for a complete list). The Kentucky delegation performed extremely well with twelve of our referees being assigned Semi-Final games and six being assigned to the Finals. The tournament was highlighted with State Referee Daniel Barber being selected to officiate the Youth Nationals in Overland Park, KS. This is Daniel's second time at being selected. State Referee Saul Rivas was selected as an alternate for the Youth Nationals as well. Congratulations to both!
